Who are we?

LOpSoc is the University of Southampton Light Opera Society. Every year we put on at least two shows. We have a strong community of members who all share a great enthusiasm for the work that we do. We perform a great variety of light operettas, from well-known Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, to works by other composers such as Noël Coward, Franz Lehar, and Edward German. In addition, we perform original works written by students at the University. We also organise recitals within the society and regular socials.

Our Facebook group is a good place to join for news and other interesting tidbits, as well as general chatter between society members.

Our Facebook page provides all the essential news and events without the chatter!
