Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences

The Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences consists of 1,560 undergraduates, 50 taught and 340 research postgraduate students. It has 240 academic and 130 other staff.

The Faculty spans a wide range of disciplines including geochemistry, pharmacology, catalysis, electrochemistry, ocean dynamics, paleoceanography, paleoclimatology, ecology and molecular biology. Academic activity is located at the main Highfield campus, the Waterfront campus, and Southampton General Hospital.
