Advertising your property

If you are looking to rent to students, the Southampton Accreditation Scheme for Student Housing (SASSH) offers the most cost-effective way of getting your property noticed by students of the University of Southampton and Southampton Solent University.

Properties registered with SASSH are advertised on a separate website, www.sassh.co.uk, powered by Studentpad. All properties advertised must be registered with the accreditation scheme and must adhere to at least the One Star standard in the SASSH Property Standards. You will find these, along with details of other requirements, in the Landlord Pack section.

How can you advertise?

If you already have a SASSH landlord account you can log in by going to www.studentpad.co.uk/controlpad/. You can then add a new property or amend an existing one by going to the Property Management section.

If you have not yet registered an account please go to www.sassh.co.uk and visit the Landlords section, where you will be able to create your account. Once you have done so, you will be able to log into the Control software above.

Once you have submitted the property details, you will need to send in copies of valid gas and electricity safety certificates, as well as an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) and proof of hard wired smoke detectors. If you have already provided these certificates and they are still valid, please advise us of this by email to privaterented@soton.ac.uk.
