Gerontology professional development

As numbers of elderly people in society increase, the study of gerontology is becoming more and more important.

We offer a range of postgraduate programmes in the subject. They are tailored to the needs of graduates, mid-career professionals and mature people returning to education.

You can start with a short course in one aspect of the subject, then build on your knowledge by taking more units. These may result in the award of a postgraduate certificate, diploma or a masters degree. We also offer distance learning programmes if you want to combine study with work or family commitments.

Careers in gerontology

Training and employability events held throughout the year include those specifically designed for gerontology students.

Flexible learning

Our programmes include full-time, part-time and short courses, and can be taken face-to-face or by distance learning.
