We are delighted that our MSc Gerontology Alumnus Retselisitsoe Tsuinyane, who is Director Elderly Care Services in the Ministry Of Social Development in Lesotho, has launched a new ‘Recreation and Fitness’ programme for older people, which can make a difference in terms of older people’s wellbeing.

Tseli commented: “We started introducing this programme to a group of thirty older persons in one community council as a pilot, and my target is to pilot it to three districts with one community council in each district. The photo shows the first participants. Very happy, very excited. Now they do it once every Wednesday of the week.”

Congratulations to Tseli, and we hope that the programme takes off.
