Giving your time is a great way to share your talents, skills and experience to benefit current students while also staying connected to the University of Southampton. As part of the alumni community, there are a number of opportunities available to you. Every opportunity will help enrich the learning experiences of students.

Tell your story We are always looking for alumni to provide profiles about what they have done after graduating from Southampton. If you have an interesting story that you would like to share, or if you would like to describe your pathway to success then we want to hear from you.
Recruit International Students For International Alumni, Offer holder/conversion events are great ways for alumni to interact with prospective students from around the world. The International Office facilitates several Offer holder/Conversion events several times a year throughout the world. This is an opportunity for alumni to speak with alumni from their country and discuss their time at the University of Southampton and life in the United Kingdom.
Mentor Current Students Alumni mentoring is a great way for alumni to give back to current students. There are four different types of mentoring at the University of Southampton: Career Mentoring, Career Contacts, Business Mentoring, and Diversity Mentoring.
Provide Students with Internships and Work Experience Internships and work placements are extremely important in increasing the employability of Southampton graduates. If you are able to provide current students with internships or internships, please get in touch at givetime@soton.ac.uk
