Adrian Newey
BSc Aeronautics and Astronautics, 1981
Former student Adrian Newey graduated from Southampton in 1981 and is now the world's most successful Formula 1 car designer. In his current role as Chief Technical Officer for Redbull Racing he recently helped win the championship double.
Peter Boait
BSc Electronic Engineering, 1973
After graduating, Peter's first job was developing burglar alarms and now he is a Senior Reseach Fellow at De Montfort University, as well as Technical Director of a company called Exergy Devices Ltd.
Rachel Steiner
BSc Physical Geography, 2008
Rachel once worked for Lab in a Lorry!
Kerrie Holland
BSc Politics and International Relations, 1997
Kerrie now works in Development and Alumni Relations.
Robert Edenborough
PhD Psychology, 1973
Robert's career began with the MOD and he now works as a freelance business psychologist.

Richard now works as a freelance writer on railway poster art.
Guy Hill
LLB Law, 1979
Guy began his career as a solicitor's article clerk and he has gone on to become Head of the London office for a Swiss stockbroking firm.
James Read
BSc Physics with Oceanography, 1992
James is now Public Affairs Director at Gilead Sciences.
David Bell
BSc Electronics, 1966
Since graduating, David has had an interesting and varied career in electronics and engineering.
Stephen Payne
BSc (Eng) Ship Science, 1984
The highlight of Stephen's career was designing the Queen Mary 2, for which he was awarded the OBE.
Steven Edkins
BSc Mathematics with Operational Research
Steven has enjoyed careers ranging from professional footballer to CEO.
Timothy Powell

Tim followed his degree in Mechanical Engineering with an LLM degree in Intellectual Property Litigation and went on to become a Patent attorney.
