ACRG has upgraded its facilities to include Photomodeler Scanner.
We have just upgraded our facilities to include Photomodeler Scanner. We have been using this and our Konica Minolta Vivid 910 and Polynomial Texture Mapping rig on a range of research projects. Recent collaborators include Oxford University, English Heritage, Cambridge University, Fitzwilliam Museum, British Museum, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Musée du Louvre, Kings College London and Herculaneum Conservation Project.

ACRG collaboration restores Herculaneum statue
A 2000-year-old painted Roman statue is being digitally restored to her original glory by scientists from the Department of Archaeology at the University of Southampton, the Herculaneum Conservation Project and the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) at the University of Warwick.

Archaeology shines in the RAE
Archaeology has yet again demonstrated its research excellence. Following on from considerable recent success in grant funding and development of international research collaborations, the discipline has scored a GPA of 2.8 in the RAE.
