Other special achievements:

Professor Johnnie Johnson elected Vice-President of the Asia Pacific Association for Gambling Studies (APAGS): an international academic network consisting of scholars, professionals, regulators, and policy makers focussed on gambling research and the gaming business around the world. APAGS is dedicated to promoting multi-disciplinary gambling studies through consultancy, scientific research and international conferences and via the publication of scholarly journals.

Liu.S and Kearney C. have been awarded the Tom Fetherstone best paper in IRFA (International Review of Financial Analysis) award for 2014 for the paper titled “Textual Sentiment in Finance: A Survey of Methods and Models”.

Dr Andrew Urquhart received the best paper in 2013 in International Review of Financial Analysis at the 14th INFINITI Conference on International Finance in Dublin, Ireland for Urquhart, A., Hudson, R.
