CALR is the main focus for research and advanced teaching in applied linguistics at the University of Southampton.
Welcome to CALR! We are a group of researchers and PhD students whose research falls under the large umbrella of applied and general linguistics. Currently, we focus on three main areas:
- Language Learning and Teaching
- Linguistic Theory
- Second Language Acquisition
While a lot of work happening within these three sub-groups, CALR aims to provide a forum for knowledge-sharing and discussion also across these sections. Find out more.
