Volunteering and Third Sector Fair 2013

When & where?  The Volunteering & Third Sector Fair 2013

Tuesday 19th February 2013

11am - 3.00pm

Garden Court, Building 40, Highfield Campus

Why should you attend?

If you’re looking for a career in the Third Sector, an exciting summer in the UK or abroad or to fill a few spare hours a week volunteering, then this is the Careers Fair for you!

The Volunteering and Third Sector Fair is a great chance to meet organisations offering a wide range of alternative opportunities, with organisations exhibiting including local and national charities, not-for profit organisations and international volunteering companies.

It’s an ideal event to find out what volunteer or paid roles these organisations have to offer, how your skills can benefit them and the wider community, as well as learning what skills and recognition you’ll receive in return.

Presentations at the Fair

We are running a series of presentations alongside the Fair to help you find out more about this sector. Please see our Events Calendar for more details.

Who should attend?

This Fair is open to all Alumni and students of any academic year who are interested in:

  • Volunteering whilst at university and/or during the University holidays
  • Working/volunteering abroad during the University holidays
  • Taking time out after university to work/volunteer abroad
  • Engaging in Social Enterprise and/or developing their entrepreneurial skills
  • Considering a career in the Third Sector
