"The internship has provided invaluable exposure into how strategy is both implemented and followed through. More than anything, it builds a work ethic mindset which is essential to have for any future career and skills to be well acquainted with as early as possible!"

“A work placement for a period of time, be it a summer internship or a year long work placement, will definitely make you stand out from the crowd. Employers like to see that experience has been gained in a business environment, that you have worked and socialised with a mix of very different people, that you understand how businesses work and you have worked on projects that help the business deliver its strategic goals.” ![]()

"Whist studying at Southampton University I was very conscious of the need to do more to give me an edge when applying for jobs. To that end, I became involved with the Management Society and the Baseball club - becoming president of both in my 2nd year. I also undertook a term time job, organizing student surveys - giving me experience of the working world and some pocket/beer money. Finally I did an internship between my 2nd and 3rd years, leading to me being offered a job at the end of the summer - giving me something to work towards in my final year and saving hours of applications when I needed to be focusing on my studies. I can't encourage current students enough to start looking early and be proactive whilst at Uni."![]()
