Postgraduate Courses

Master degrees, which may be followed either full-time (over 1 year) or part-time (over 2 years), relevant to the Centre are:

MSc Citizenship and Democracy - involves a mix of theoretical and emprical material to investigate the politics of citizenship and democracy.

MSc Citizenship and Governance (Research) - has ESRC 1+3 Studentship recognition, meaning UK or EU students are eligible to apply for funding through the ESRC Open Competition scheme.

MSc Social Policy - a ESRC accredited programme offering an advanced conceptual and methodological preparation in social policy analysis.

All programmes provide an excellent grounding for those wishing to pursue a PhD programme.

Previous students have gone on to jobs in the private sector, think-tanks, local authorities, the NHS, publishing and teaching as well as academia.
