Dr Nick Evans

Bone stem cells

Nick's group is interested in how the mechanical and topographical properties of the extracellular matrix affect how cells behave in tissues. He uses an array of techniques in gel-moulding, microfabrication and stem cell culture to study this. He is also interested in how Wnt signalling regulates the proliferation and differentiation of stem cells, and how we might harness this signalling pathway to mitigate disease that affect tissues such as the skin and bone.

Nick has pages in the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Engineering. Click here for his personal homepage.
