Chemistry achieves exceptional results in National Student Survey 2013

Published: 13 August 2013

Our chemistry degree programmes have scored exceptionally well in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2013 with selected programmes scoring top marks for overall satisfaction and several achieving outstanding results in the six key aspects of the student learning experience.

The areas where our chemistry degrees scored exceptionally well are: academic support, teaching on my course, organisation and management, learning resources and personal development. This is a tremendous acknowledgment of the high esteem in which our undergraduate students view the chemistry degree programmes offered at Southampton University.

Professor Phil Gale, Head of Chemistry, added ‘I'm delighted that our students agree with us that the Southampton chemistry degree programmes are excellent. Whether you wish to go on to study for a higher degree such as a PhD, which many of our students do, or enter the world of work, a Southampton chemistry degree is an excellent foundation on which to build a successful career.'
