Summer Pre-sessional courses in English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

Is this course suitable for me?

Summer Pre-sessional English for Adacemic Purpose (EAP) is suitable for students who have a conditional or unconditional offer to study a degree programme at the University of Southampton who need or want to improve their English Language level before entry to their degree course.

Entry requirement: Typical IELTS requirement from 5.0 to 7.0

Year Round courses on English for Academic Study (EAS)

Is this course suitable for me?

English for Academic Study (EAS) is suitable for students who intend to study a degree programme at a British University and who want to study 1 year or 1 semester of English.  At the end of the course a student can expect to qualify for entry to the pre-sessional EAP summer courses.

Entry Requirement: IELTS level of 4.5 for October entry, IELTS score of 5.0 for February entry

English Language Support Classes

Is this course suitable for me?

These courses are available for any current students of the University of Southampton where English is not your first language. The courses provide an hours support per week on a particular aspect of English i.e. Academic Writing or Oral communication.

Entry Requirement: IELTS level 6.0 or above is recommended for these courses
