Centenary Building

Teaching and learning centre opens

At the end of September 2019 the University’s Centenary Building (B100) opened its doors to students for the first time.

The building has been named in celebration of 100 years of teaching at Highfield Campus and boasts an impressive range of facilities that are already being well used by students and staff.

The independent study spaces with their fantastic views across the campus and the city are proving very popular with building users. The Centenary Building also has an 80-seat Harvard lecture theatre, numerous private pod study spaces, bookable seminar rooms and large flat floored teaching spaces.

This state-of-the-art centre of teaching and learning will improve the student experience and help ensure the University of Southampton maintains is position as one of the top 100 universities globally*.
