Module Aims

The advanced research project is specially designed to enable you to further develop and to demonstrate the following transferable skills: Self-management: you will need to set personal objectives, to manage your time and tasks and to evaluate your own performance. Learning skills: you will need to learn effectively and with self-awareness. You will need to learn independently, to make good use of the available resources, to find and organise material and to use a wide range of academic skills. Communication: you will need to be able to marshal what you have learnt in the form of a report and present a coherent argument.

Assessment Strategy

You will submit two separate pieces of work, at least one of which will be associated with quantitative methods and would be of an empirical nature. Both pieces of work can be a part of a single bigger project, but can also be independent of each other.
