Aims and Objectives
This is a self-study module that aims to develop the skills required for researching, writing and presenting a report in Operational Research.
Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- Search for information about a particular topic in the academic literature
- Understand how to structure a report on a technical topic
- Give a presentation on a technical topic
Students undertake a literature study on a topic in OR of their own choice. They are required to produce a written report and to give a short oral presentation of their work. Lectures are given on the following topics: • How to write an OR report • How to give an OR presentation • Library skills

This is a self-study module; therefore, the majority of work will be carried out by students independently. In addition, students will be given 6 hours of lectures.
