Director of ITT speaks at Westminster

Published: 12 March 2013

Our Director of Initial Teacher Training has recently spoken at Westminster at an event entitled, “Training the Next Generation of Outstanding Teachers: New Strategies to Deliver Success”

Director of ITT Kate Green spoke during the policy session, Training the Next Generation of Outstanding Teachers. Kate comments, "The importance of the event was to communicate what effect changes to ITT are having upon Education generally. Also, to share views and experiences with other ITT colleagues, the Teaching Agency, Teaching Unions, Ofsted and Members of Parliament."

The event included an interactive voting session to allow delegates to directly influence the day's proceedings and feed into a wider consultation process. Attendees working across the Education sector were asked to respond to a series of questions surrounding the issues being discussed.

This follows on from the Westminster Education Forum conference, Reform of Initial Teacher Training: new Teachers’ Standards and the role of teaching schools, which Kate also spoke at.
