Education academic awarded international professorship

Southampton Education School's Dr Martin Dyke has been awarded a visiting professorship by Xiamen University

Dr. Martin Dyke has received the award in recognition of his valued research expertise and outstanding contribution to our long-term partnership with Xiamen University, a prestigious university in China.

Martin returned from a visit to the East last month, visiting the university at Xiamen, in addition to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Doha, renewing and forging new partnerships.

Martin comments, "Southampton Education School has had a strong relationship with Xiamen University since 2008 working closely with Professor Tongtao Zheng the Dean of the International College and Overseas College. We have recently renewed our partnership and look forward to working together to promote education and educational research. I have found working with colleagues in Xiamen extremely rewarding, their professionalism and commitment to education is second to none. I am honoured to be a visiting professor at such a prestigious institution as Xiamen University."

Martin has been invited to give a keynote speech at the end of the month at a conference in Ningbo for Professor Qiuheng Shi, the Director of the Institute of Higher Education Quality and Assessment, at Xiamen University.
