Professor Muijs works with Flemish government
Professor Muijs was invited to sit on a policy evaluation commission for the Flemish government, evaluating teacher education reforms.
The report of this commission was published in September 2013, and recommendations were accepted by the Minister of Education. Following this six policy implementation committees were set up were set up. Professor Muijs was invited to be an expert adviser to the committee on implementing recommendations for Postgraduate teacher education. A report has now been produced, recommending the development of an ‘Educational Master', combining subject study and teacher education and greater collaboration between organisations offering teacher education to ensure sufficient scale without decreasing access.

Professor Daniel Muijs BA, MSc, PhD
Professor Daniel Muijs is currently the Dean of the School of Education and Society at the Academica University of Applied Sciences. Previously he was Head of Research at Ofsted.
During his time in Southampton, Professor Muijs was Associate Dean Research and Enterprise for the Faculty of Social, Human and Mathematical Sciences and Professor of Education at Southampton Education School.
