The Ofsted science report ‘Maintaining Curiosity’ highlights six factors that improve primary science. This practical conference outlines what these are and offers ideas and activities to help school achieve this.

In addition to the keynote speech delivered by Kate and Debbie from Primarily Science, attendees will be able to select from a range of workshop sessions delivered by Kate or Debbie. At the end of the day there will be an opportunity for action planning and a short question and answer session.

The following workshop sessions will be available for attendees to select:

  • planning for and monitoring National Curriculum coverage
  • are they “ Working Scientifically” enough yet?
  • assessing and tracking pupil progress without levels
  • making the links between literacy and science
  • monitoring pupils progress
  • raising the profile of science
