This Saturday morning course offers a hands-on morning of activities at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens near Romsey - to included pond dipping and carrying out meadow sweeps.

Carla Thomas-Buffin, Head of Education at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens will lead the morning.  You will also have the opportunity to use the beautiful outdoor facilities available for early years settings and primary schools and try out activities in the gardens that you will be able to utilise when teaching in your own school. 

Course participants will have free entry to the gardens for the remaining part of the day once the course has ended. 

Following the course participants will be able to:

  • use and develop simple keys to identify, classify and describe living creatures (invertebrates) as related to the National Curriculum
  • look at relevant resources to support your teaching. 

Course fee: £30
