This practical course will help you identify everyday opportunities for early science.
It will support the development of your setting's environment and continuous provision for science teaching and learning. We will consider how science contributes to the Characteristics of Effective Learning as identified in the EYFS framework. The use of observational assessment will also be discussed. Simon Small will lead the session.
Following the course participants will be able to:
- Provide rich learning environments and experiences that support the development of early science skills and understanding
- identify how science contributes to the Characteristics of Effective Learning
- use observation of children's play to contribute to assessment in science.
