The skills test is one of the requirements that all applicants must pass prior to the commencement of training.
Speed and accuracy of recall of number are important particularly for the mental calculation section of the test. While we do not guarantee a pass this session will help attendees revise their calculation skills.
Participants will be able to:
- Revise knowledge of times tables, halving, doubling and apply this to mental arithmetic questions.
- Identify the relationship between fractions, percentages and decimals.
- Revise knowledge of ratios.
- Revise knowledge of speed, time and distance.
- Apply conversions - km to miles.
- Revise data handling including pie charts and whisker diagrams.
