Event details

Science is a rewarding and fascinating subject to teach and is an essential part of the new curriculum as it is a core subject.

Having lost its focus over the last few years many newly and recently qualified teachers often lack the experience of teaching and observing lessons in this subject.  This hands on practical course aims to provide exciting ideas on the teaching and learning techniques of this highly creative subject as well as the management of the more challenging topics.

Following the course participants will be able to:

  • understand the background knowledge for the science curriculum and know a variety of ideas and activities to use with children
  • plan and manage the practical aspects of the science curriculum in their classrooms
  • understand assessing the progress of children in science

Course Fee: £130  Tutor: Kate Blacklock - Primarily Science
