Dr Christian T. Jacobs is a Research Fellow in Exascale Computational Aerodynamics within Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton.

Christian is a Research Fellow in the Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics Research Group. His interests primarily reside in the field of computational fluid dynamics, with a focus on multiphase flows and automated model development using code generation. He also has an interest in research data management, particularly the issues surrounding reproducibility and data provenance in scientific computing.

Following a period of post-doctoral research at Imperial College London, Christian joined the University of Southampton in February 2016 and is currently funded by a European Union Horizon 2020 grant entitled "ExaFLOW: Enabling Exascale Fluid Dynamics Simulations". He is focusing on the development of novel techniques and algorithms to prepare numerical models for future exascale computing platforms.
