Professor Langdon wins 2012 Acta Materialia Gold Medal Award

Director of the Centre for Bulk Nanostructured Materials and Research Professor of Materials Science, Professor Terence Langdon, has been announced as the winner of the 2012 Acta Materialia Gold Medal Award.

The Acta Materialia Gold Medal is awarded annually by the Board of Governors of Acta Materialia, Inc., with partial financial support from Elsevier, Ltd. The Award consists of the gold medal, an inscribed certificate, and a cheque for a sum of money that constitutes the Board's contribution to the award winner.

Professor Langdon will be presented with the award at a ceremony at the E-MRS Fall Meeting in Warsaw, Poland, in September 2012.
