Additional funding for Audiology students

Published: 7 February 2014

It has been confirmed that Audiology students starting at the University of Southampton in 2014 will receive over £5000 of additional funding to support their studies.

We are delighted to announce that the first 25 UK/EU students to make our BSc Healthcare Science (Audiology) course their Firm choice via UCAS and start the programme in 2014 will receive a bursary of £1750 per year for three years. Over the three years of study students will receive a total £5250 from Health Education Wessex to help support placement travel and accommodation expenses. The bursary does not require repayment.

According to Dr Daniel Rowan, Admissions Tutor for the programme: "This funding is great news for students, as it will help cover relocation, accommodation and travel costs during their clinical placements, and help more generally with living expenses. Students starting the programme in the two previous years also received similar bursaries and have found it extremely useful."

In addition to this funding students may also be eligible for one of the other University of Southampton scholarships or bursaries. Find out more
