PhD Student for Fluid Structure Interaction Research Group, within Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

Essentially, everything is started from zero, so don’t be afraid to learn something new as long as you are enjoying it.. Keep stable and do your best otherwise you will be corroded, damaged and collapse before you can reach your dream..

Eko graduated in 2010 from the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia with BSc degree in Ocean Engineering. In 2012, he completed his MSc Thesis in ITB focusing on Subsea Pipeline Stress Analysis under High Pressure and High Temperature Condition using Strain Based Approach. In 2012 he was appointed as a Lecturer in Ocean Engineering Program, Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, ITB, Indonesia. Since 2011, he also active in Offshore Engineering Research Group, ITB as researcher and engineer, conducting engineering study, analysis and design of offshore pipeline and other marine structure. Since September 2015, he is awarded fully funded PhD scholarship from Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), Ministry of Finance Republic of Indonesia. Starting from April 4th 2016, he is continuing his study in Fluid Structure Interaction Research Group, Civil, Maritime and Environmental Engineering and Science Academic Unit, within Engineering and Physical Sciencest, University of Southampton, United Kingdom. His PhD research topic is “Multiscale Modelling for Ultimate Strength Assessment of Damaged Ship Induced by Corrosion”.
