Life Sciences Building ready for occupation

Life Sciences Building

Two years after construction commenced, the Life Sciences building is almost ready for occupation. A striking addition to the Highfield campus, the building will be accessed from Library Square via a route combining hard and soft landscaping.

On 21 July, Biological Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine's student administration office and Medical Education Unit will begin to move into the building.  The moves will take 10 weeks to complete. During this time access to the building will be restricted to its new occupants.

From late September the building will be operational and the facilities on Level 2 will be accessible to everyone in the University. These include a learning zone with four Common Learning Space (CLS) teaching rooms, an i-cafe and break-out space with WiFi access, together with a Lattes grab-and-go cafe.
