Research interests

I am a PhD candidate at the Film department, fully funded by the AHRC project Calling the Shots: Women and Contemporary Film Culture in the UK, 2000-2015. The proposed title of her doctoral thesis, jointly supervised by Dr Shelley Cobb and Prof. Linda Ruth Williams, is ‘Women in crossover roles in British TV and film documentary, 2000-2015’. The originality of my research lies in investigating professional lives of contemporary women documentarians (directors, producers and editors) and I will be conducting between 20 and 30 semi-structured qualitative interviews to gather primary data.
