Hi, I'm Emma Richards and I studied Bachelor of Nursing, Adult Branch within Health Sciences at the University of Southampton.

Before applying here I researched all the Universities in the South of England and Southampton came out as one of the best. Studying here has given me a different perspective on life. It’s been hard work and tough at times but I’ve met some great people and the staff were fantastic.

I've really enjoyed my time here. I learnt a lot on my placements and have grown considerably as a person.  I started my studies straight after college and I've come such a long way since then.

Nursing is not a job that can be done half-heartedly - you really need to want to do it.  I'm lucky to have found what I want to do and been supported along the way to achieve my dream of becoming a qualified nurse.

I'm now working on a surgical ward and looking forward to working my way up the ladder. My ambition is to become a Sister specialising in cardiac nursing.
