In the November 2015 Spending Review The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced that from 2017/18 students studying nursing, midwifery, podiatry, physiotherapy and occupational therapy pre-registration programmes will no longer be funded by the NHS Bursaries.

Instead students will be eligible for student loans to cover tuition fees and living costs. Existing students and those due to start in September 2016 or January/February 2017 will still be eligible for NHS Bursary.

The council of Deans for Health have provided some helpful information on their website which is particularly aimed at students.
