In this Inaugural Lecture, Professor Jackie Bridges will draw on her research and professional experiences to discuss what older people need from health services and to identify what it takes to provide high quality health care to older people with complex needs. An analysis of the organisational conditions in which health care workers, especially nurses, can provide good care will be used to set out an agenda for practice, policy, research and education in this important field.

        As part of Diversity Fortnight (20th February to 7th March 2017), the Faculty of Health Sciences is contributing with The Human Library. In its initial form the Human Library is a mobile library where visitors are given the opportunity to speak informally with &#8216;people on loan&#8217;; this latter group being extremely varied in age, gender and cultural background.</description></item><!--ls:end[component-1305188111023]--></channel>
