Southampton

Southampton is a historic, maritime city, with an international outlook. It has a thriving arts and cultural community that’s breathing new life across the city.

Breathing life back into the Tower

God’s House Tower is an exciting project in development by local organisation ‘a space’, resulting in an arts and heritage centre, in Southampton’s Old Town. Artist Sarah Filmer is lead artist on a project ‘reincarnation’, working with a team of artists to reinvigorate the Tower as a site of artistic practice.

Southampton City Art Gallery houses one of the UK’s designated art collections, alongside a changing programme of exhibitions. Alongside these locations are museums, historic houses, theatre, live music venues, artists’ studios and galleries.

Winchester

Winchester has a vibrant and diverse cultural scene, enriched with history.

There's always something going on in the historic capital of England, from festivals such as the outdoor Hat Fair festival that takes over the city once a year, to a varied programme of arts events at local venues such as the Theatre Royal Winchester and the Winchester Discovery Centre.

Be it the Winchester Writers Festival or an open mic night at The Railway, there's something for everyone.
