The Faculty of Humanities are pleased to announce Wolfson Foundation PhD Studentships for 2016

The Faculty of Humanities has been awarded three Wolfson PG Scholarships to fund PhD study (three years full-time or part-time equivalent) – open to UK students only.

These awards have been made possible by the Wolfson Foundation who wish to encourage growth in Humanities research. We are one of nine host universities chosen because of our excellent research track record and PGR growth over the past five years. The other universities who have been granted these awards are: UCL, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Oxford, Sheffield, Warwick, York and SOAS. For Southampton, the awards will be available in three departments whose research aligns with the Foundation's interests: History, English Literature and Languages.

The award covers: fees at UK rate, and provides a living stipend of £20,000 per annum for three years (subject to satisfactory progress).
