Event details

An international conference to commemorate the 600th Anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt.

The conference has three main themes and will have parallel sessions on War on Land (including arms, armour and archaeology), War on Sea (including maritime history and archaeology) and The Culture of War.

As well as many interesting and informative sessions over the weekend on Saturday there will be an event in collaboration with the Battlefield Trust and Sunday will be made up of excursions to the Mary Rose Exhibition, a visit to Portchester Castle, lunch at Titchfield Abbey and Barn with the day rounding off with the conference dinner at Fort Nelson.

Keynote speakers include: Professor Betrand Schnerb (Lille), Dr Andrew Ayton (Hull), Professor Anne Curry (Southampton), Dr Alexandra Hildred (Mary Rose Trust) and Dr Thom Richardson (Royal Armouries, Leeds)

Special Public Lecture: (The Meaning of War) by Dr Ian Mortimer
