Applications
Please go to our new Online Store to pay for all Lifelong Learning courses.Confirmation of a place on a course cannot be given until payment has been made through the store.
Viability of Courses and Deadlines
We do not have an application deadline - however, courses can become fully subscribed very early. We endeavour to run all courses advertised but need sufficient applications in order for them to run. On 20th January 2012 courses which have not generated sufficient applications will be cancelled. Applications received after this date will only be accepted if the course is still running and not fully subscribed.
Fees
A single module is £175 (see concessions below).
Any subsequent modules, taken within the same academic year, will be discounted to £150 each.
Concessions: To qualify for the following concession fee of £150 (please see below):
- University of Southampton degree students
- University staff
- Alumni
- In receipt of income-based Job Seeker’s Allowance, Income Support, Working Tax Credit, Council Tax or Housing Benefit.
- Over 65 years of age
Evidence of your status will be required on application. The receipt of state retirement benefit does not qualify for our concessionary fee.
How to make payment
Payment must be made in advance of application via our secure Online Store, which accepts a wide range of credit and debit cards. After 20th January 2012 applications received will only be accepted if the course is still running and not fully subscribed - please contact us to ensure your course is still running and is not fully subscribed before making payment if applying after this date.
Refunds
If a course is cancelled or withdrawn by the University, all student fees will be refunded in full. If students withdraw from a course before the first meeting and notify us in writing, fees will be refunded less a 20% administration charge. We regret that no fees will be refunded once a course has started.
