Secure Online Payment

Welcome to our new safe and easy way to pay for your Lifelong Learning courses – the University of Southampton Online Store, which replaces all former methods of payment and application. The store requires you to create an account before booking your first course, then remembers your information for subsequent bookings, and will ask you for information in order to create your learning profile and reserve your place.

Instructions

First, click on the type of course you wish to purchase (Evening course, Cultural Day, Film Course etc). On the next page, scroll down and tick the 'Select Course' box, then click the 'Book Selected Course(s)' button. You will then need to either create a new account (if this is your first visit), or log in using your email address and password if you have used the Online Store previously.

You will need to have the details of your chosen course to hand before beginning, as you will need to select these from a dropdown menu when booking your place. These are:

Course Name & Stage (including course code where listed), e.g. German 1a 27062, The Wars of the Roses, 1437 - 1487 etc.

Day, e.g. Monday

Time, e.g. 7:00pm – 9:00pm

Semester, e.g. Semester 2

Please ensure that you enter these correctly, as the store cannot determine if you have made an error.

When you come to the Booking Summary screen, please note that your course will show in your basket as ‘Lifelong Learning Evening Courses 2011-2012’, rather than the exact details of the course you are booking. The dates, as shown below, will display the whole duration of the course, rather than the specific dates. [PLEASE SEE IMAGE BELOW] As long as you have entered the course details correctly, as outlined above, you will have booked a place on your chosen course, so please click ‘Add to Basket’ and proceed with your payment.

The Online Store will send you a generic confirmation email noting that you have booked a ‘Lifelong Learning Evening Course 2011-2012’. You will then be sent further email confirmation by the Lifelong Learning team, which will contain the exact details of the course you have booked nearer the start date of your course.
