Exploring online legal issues
ILAWS is a unique interdisciplinary research centre. It brings together legal expertise in key domains such as information technology law, e-commerce, IT law and public policy and intellectual property law. Our academics publish extensively in journals and write the definitive texts.
It is the host of a new interdisciplinary core on Law, Internet and culture, iCLIC which will be organising regular events on cross-disciplinary subjects and will run a seminar series on IP/IT related issues in collaboration with Bournemouth University.
Leading research and teaching on Internet law
The first iCLIC conference to be held at Southampton Law School aims to bring together researchers, legal practioners, industry actors, digital rights advocates and NGOs to debate key issues concerning the role of Internet intermediaries.
