Using Media to Enhance Education

ILIaD Media

The Media Development Team works in partnership with you or your team to create film, video, interactive multimedia, photography and graphic to support teaching & learning. Working as a full production unit we produce resources that can be used across the university to enhance learning. Our projects are born from close collaboration with academics, keen to illustrate a concept, inspire ideas or contribute to understanding.

Sustainability

We are proud to work with researchers to produce high quality media to disseminate their findings.

The results have been used to evidence learning, evaluate projects, as a resource for learning or to tell a story.

Most recently we have written, edited and produced media for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), filmed clinical procedure, produced animation to demonstrate new technology and created interactive multimedia for blended learning. We have filmed at sea, in museums and galleries, labs and hospital wards, conferences and events and travelled to Barcelona, Rome and Paris.

The team put us at ease, they were able to capture the value of our work and help us to share our passion with our students, colleagues and the wider world.

Professor Graeme Earl - Academic Lead

Our ambitions include seeing the work of the University taken to a wider audience, including national television, through documentary festivals and media conferences to learning platforms and teaching resources across the web. We’re interested in finding the stories at the heart of the University, creating work that captures, educates, and informs.
