Tuition fees for overseas students

Overseas students pay different fees to students from the UK.

From September 2021, students from the EU will also pay Overseas fees.

Channel Island, Isle of Man and Irish students will be charged the same tuition fee as home students.

Cost of study

The amount you'll pay to study at Southampton depends on the course you choose. You can find out how much you'll pay for undergraduate or postgraduate study.

Tuition fees will increase each year for students starting their course from 1st August 2026.

Before we can issue your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), postgraduate applicants must pay a £2,000 deposit.

We understand that you may need flexibility when paying your deposit, so there is no fixed deadline.

However, we recommend that you pay your deposit as soon as you can to secure your place to study with us.

Academic programmes will close to new applicants and offer holders once they reach capacity. Programmes such as our MBA are very popular and are likely to close early.

You can pay your deposit online.
