Health Technologies is now part of the Institute for Life Sciences
New technologies have the potential to radically improve the way chronic disease and illnesses such as cardiac disease/heart failure, stroke and head injuries rehabilitation and depression are treated, with the potential to make significant costs savings and drastically improve patient care.
The University of Southampton is already a pioneer in the field of cochlear implants, and is now focusing specifically on the delivery of remote long-term care and support, customisation of orthopaedic implants, head injury and stroke and signal and image processing.
