- Students with the following qualifications will be considered for direct entry to the University of Southampton's Bachelor's Degrees:
- High grades in CAPE;
- High grades in UK A Levels;
- Between 28 and 38 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB).

- Students with the following qualifications will be considered for direct entry to the University of Southampton’s postgraduate programmes:
- Bachelor’s Degree awarded by a recognised Caribbean university or equivalent professional qualification.
- Students interested in studying a PhD at the University of Southampton need good grades in their Bachelor's and Master's programmes awarded by a recognised university as well as a strong research proposal.

- Students from Trinidad and Tobago do not need to take an English language test to demonstrate their level of English proficiency.
