The University of Southampton signed an agreement with Santander Universities in May 2008. As a result of this partnership we have implemented various scholarship schemes for students interested in completing a master's degree at the University of Southampton.
Scholarships for Iberoamerican students
Santander Universities offer 5 "Santander - University of Southampton Iberoamerican Master Scholarships" of £5,000 each for Iberian and Latin American students who are interested in studying a master's degree course at Southampton. For this year only, we are also offering 2 "Formula" scholarships of £4,166 each.
Students who wish to apply for one of these scholarships must:

Be a national of one of the 11 countries of the Iberian and Latin American Santander Universities network (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Portugal, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Uruguay or Venezuela).

Have graduated or be studying at one of the partner universities within the Santander Universities network.

Have an offer to study a master's course at the University of Southampton starting in September 2013.
Successful candidates will be selected on academic merit. This scholarship is compatible with any other source of funding.
Applications are now open and close on Friday 31st May. Students will be notified of the outcome of their application by July.

Scholarships for USA students
Through our partnership with Santander universities, "Santander - University of Southampton USA Master’s Scholarship" of up to £2,500 will be offered to 2 students interested in studying a master's degree course at Southampton. Awards will be based on academic merit with special consideration given to applicants from Santander US partner universities.
Eligibility criteria
- Should be normally domiciled in the US and have (or be completing) a Bachelor’s degree from a US university
- Have been made an offer (conditional or unconditional) to study on a Master’s programme at the University of Southampton
