To ensure the smoothest arrival at Southampton for new international and European students (excluding visiting/socrates students), we run a free of charge Meet and Greet service from London Heathrow airport before the start of the academic year and the Welcome Programme.

Important information
Eligible international and European students will be met by university representatives at London Heathrow Airport (Terminal 3) on:
Monday 20th September 2010
Tuesday 21st September 2010
Wednesday 22nd September 2010
The coaches will be collecting students at:
1000hrs, 1400hrs, 1800hrs, 2200hrs
Please note:
- You will be able to identify the University representatives by their bright green T-Shirts and University of Southampton signs.
- Coaches used for the pick-up have limited luggage capacity. Consequently, a luggage allowance of a maximum of two large suitcases (which you must be able to pick up yourself!), and one small piece of hand luggage to take on the coach with you has been put in place. We may not be able to transport students that exceed this limit.
- The deadline for registering to use the Meet and Greet service is 1st September 2010. If you miss the deadline we cannot guarantee you a place on one of the coaches.
- You must be in the arrivals lounge 30 minutes before the coach departure time. Make sure you allow enough time to go through immigration control.
- Please note the coaches provided for the Meet & Greet Service are for students only. If there are spaces available, then family members are welcome to come on the coach with you but priority will be given to students. If the coach is full, a member of staff will assist your family members with taking an alternative form of transport.
To register for the Meet and Greet Service please complete the International Welcome Form. This form will be available to complete on the website from June 2010.
If you have not visited the UK before and are concerned about your arrival arrangements, please contact us and we will do all we can to help.
Unfortunately, we are unable to collect students arriving in the UK on different dates or at different airports. If you arrive on a different date or at a different airport you will need to make your own way to Southampton.
