To ensure the smoothest arrival at Southampton for new international and European students (excluding visiting / Erasmus students), we run a free of charge Meet and Greet service from London Heathrow airport before the start of the academic year and the Welcome Programme.
You will be able to identify the University representatives by their bright green T-Shirts and University of Southampton signs. You must be in the arrivals lounge 30 minutes before the coach departure time. Make sure you allow enough time to go through immigration control.
The deadline for registering to use the Meet and Greet service is 1st September 2011. If you miss the deadline we cannot guarantee you a place on one of the coaches

Important information
Eligible international and European students will be met by university representatives at London Heathrow Airport (Terminal 3) on:
- Monday 19th September 2011
- Tuesday 20th September 2011
- Wednesday 21st September 2011
The coaches will be collecting students at:
- 1000hrs, 1400hrs, 1800hrs, 2200hrs
Please note:
Coaches used for the pick-up have limited luggage capacity. Consequently, a luggage allowance of a maximum of two large suitcases (which you must be able to pick up yourself!), and one small piece of hand luggage to take on the coach with you has been put in place. We may not be able to transport students that exceed this limit.
Please note the coaches provided for the Meet & Greet Service are for students only. If there are spaces available, then family members are welcome to come on the coach with you but priority will be given to students. If the coach is full, a member of staff will assist your family members with taking an alternative form of transport.
