Working with the Attendee List Pod
This step by step guide will walk you through working with the attendee list pod in Adobe Connect
Changing User Roles
As a meeting host, you have the ability to set the role of other users within your meeting. You can also change various other options for each user, including giving enhance participant rights.
To change the role of a user within a meeting:
1 – Click on the user whose role you wish to change. When selected, the user will have a green box around their name.
2 – Click on the button in the bottom left hand corner of the pod (hovering over this will show a pop up saying 'Set User Role'). You can then choose the role you want to give this user. Note that the icons for each type of role will also be displayed next to the user in the list. There are several options to choose from. The 'Participant' role offers the fewest permissions as default, and is the default setting for new entrants to a meeting unless selected otherwise during the meeting setup. The participant role can be given enhanced rights in order to share materials if required. The 'Presenter' role offers more permissions, and is used for anyone who will take an active part in presenting content during meetings. The 'Host' role is the highest role available in meetings and is the role given to the creator of the meeting.
Changing Enhanced Rights (1)
To change other options for a selected user, including enhanced participant rights:
1 – Click on the user whose role you wish to change. When selected, the user will have a green box around their name.
2 – Click on the right hand button of the 2 buttons in the bottom right hand corner of the Attendee List pod. This will display a number of options for the selected user.
3 – To grant enhanced participant rights (for instance if you want a participant to be able to display their webcam), click on ‘Change Enhanced Participant Rights’
Changing Enhanced Rights (2)
You can then select what you want this particular user to have rights to use. In the example shown, the participant has been given enhanced rights to be able to broadcast their camera and voice.
Grant Microphone Rights
To grant microphone rights to a user, you can hover over their name, or select their name and wait for the popup. Clicking on the microphone icon will grant microphone rights to the user. Clicking on this button again revokes microphone rights.
